Museo del Jamón x Little Spain
(Madrid/New York) – April 2026 Mercado Little Spain welcomes the arrival of Museo del Jamón, one of Spain’s most recognized authorities on jamón ibérico, now making its U.S. debut in New York. Located in Hudson Yards, the market has served as a gateway for diners to experience the breadth of Spain 's culinary traditions since opening in 2019.
Museo del Jamón crosses the Atlantic for the first time, more than 45 years since the brand opened its first establishment across from the Prado Museum in Spain. Arriving at Mercado Little Spain in the heart of New York City, the Madrid-based brand’s debut at the renowned culinary destination led by José Andrés reflects the continued evolution of the market’s Spanish culinary offerings.
The opening also marks a full-circle moment within the space. José Andrés, who has long championed Spanish culinary traditions in the U.S. and played a foundational role in introducing jamón ibérico to the American market, now welcomes one of Spain’s most recognizable jamón institutions into Mercado Little Spain. A fixture of everyday life in Madrid, Museo del Jamón is known for its lively bars, hanging hams, and freshly made sandwiches, a tradition that has been embraced stateside and reflects the mission of José Andrés and Mercado Little Spain.
“For us, this represents a small but significant step: the journey of a family business now beginning to write its story beyond our borders,” said Luis Alfonso Muñoz, CEO of Museo del Jamón.
Within its space at Mercado Little Spain, Museo del Jamón offers a curated taste of Spain, featuring a selection of products designed for sharing at the bar, aligned with its new menu. Highlights include:
Bocadillos and tapas prepared with jamón and Iberian products
